Dr. Amitabh Upadhya is a higher education scholar and administrator with a PhD from University of Lucknow (India) Department of Public Administration; he is associated with several international institutions as visiting professor and member of institutional advisory boards. Widely published in journals and periodicals Amitabh sits on editorial boards of several prestigious academic journals and is a regular reviewer for many of them. With experience of over thirty years as professor, dean, provost, vice-president and president of higher and vocational education institutions in India, Nepal, Macao and the UAE, he has been involved in design and development of academic programs, national & international accreditations, quality assurance & institutional effectiveness, successful execution of consultancy projects and conduct of vocational & training programs. His recent area of academic interest has been industry academia collaboration and its relevance to global higher and vocational education. In his leadership role, Professor Upadhya was recognized by the ‘Academic Leadership Award’ of the Skyline University College Sharjah in 2008 and ‘Education Leadership Award’ of the World Sustainability Congress Dubai in 2018, besides many more.
